Inside Tom Cruise's most thrilling stunt
Tom Cruise is spilling the beans about filming the heart-stopping Mission: Impossible burning parachute stunt, revealing his harrowing near-death experience.
Known for pushing limits, the versatile actor took on some seriously daring stunts in The Reckoning.
During an exclusive interview with Empire, he opened up about the thrill ride.
"Our landing zone was at 6,000 feet," Cruise recalled.
"The air is thinner, you're landing at higher speeds. Every landing was like a crash landing. Never a dull moment, man."
Meanwhile, stunt coordinator Wade Eastwood chimed in, sharing how Cruise pulled off the death-defying stunt.
Sharing his unfiltered thoughts on the Golden Globe award winner’s mind-blowing antics, the stunt coordinator explained, “He was actually lighting the thing himself.
“He'd turn the camera on before jumping out, light the parachute, and execute the whole shot. I didn't tell him, but I hid the last burning parachute – I didn't want him to do it again!"
For the unversed, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning roared into cinemas worldwide on May 23, 2025, starring Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Mariela Garriga, Ving Rhames, and Hannah Waddingham among others.
