Fifty Shades of Grey famed Dakota Johnson has been making headlines for quite some days post her breakup with longtime partner Chris Martin.
Coldplay frontman and Johnson were in a relationship since 2017. According to sources, the two got secretly engaged in 2020. Unfortunately, their romance couldn’t last longer.
Besides dealing with personal life failures, the 35-year-old also had a shaky career in the beginning.
For instance her film Madame Web that also featured Sydney Sweeney and Isabel Merced turned out to be a total failure and gauged immense criticism.
While addressing the matter, Materialists star confessed that she shouldn't be the one held responsible for the flop.
In a statement, Dakota told Los Angeles Times Newspaper, "There’s this thing that happens now where a lot of creative decisions are made by committee.”
“Or made by people who don’t have a creative bone in their body. And it’s really hard to make art that way. Or to make something entertaining that way.”
The Social Network star further explained that in the case of Madame Web; the film started out as something else and turned out something else.
Backed by Sony Pictures, the action sci-fi of 2024 was directed by S.J Clarkson.
