Scarlett Johansson celebrated the ending of Saturday Night Live season 50 with a musical tribute in her monologue.
The 40-year-old actress returned as a host for the finale episode and parodied Billy Joel’s Piano Man, with an SNL twist to bid farewell to the milestone season.
During the May 17th episode, Johansson made history as the most returning female host on SNL, and was joined by other cast members during her monologue as she began singing.
"It's 11:30 on a Saturday, finale of season 50 / It's chaotic and crazy, the whole week is hazy, but there's no place that I'd rather be," the Black Widow star sang.
Johansson was soon joined by Bowen Yang, Sarah Sherman, Mikey Day and Chloe Fineman, and more SNL regulars as they contributed to the song.
"Sing us a song as your monologue, the 50th season is through / It lasted forever, we did it together, and we got to spend it with you," the chorus ran.
The special episode brought Season 50 to an end, which started in September 2024. This season has had a list of talented hosts and musical guests including Ariana Grande, Michael Keaton, John Mulaney, Chris Rock, Paul Mescal, Martin Short, Mikey Madison, Jack Black, Jon Hamm, Coldplay, Stevie Nicks, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Shaboozey, Morgan Wallen and Lizzo.
Adding to the list, Charli XCX, Timothée Chalamet and Lady Gaga, were all who played double duty, serving as both the host and the musical guest during their episodes.
